But, regardless, if I found those songs, maybe I could find more, right? After that, I figured I would give the band another chance, and I ended up finding a couple more songs that I liked: ‘Memories Lie’, ‘Burn A Picture’, maybe one more I forgot. I didn’t remember which song it was, so I went and listened to the album again, and then found ‘Memento Mori’, which I absolutely proceeded to loop about two-hundred times. Back when Another Light first came out, I remember catching the reveal stream, and, really, I wasn’t super impressed- I was glad Vinny was in a band, but after skimming the album, I didn’t really like it, and I figured that would be the case, since Vinny and I’s taste in music isn’t very similar.Įxcept, I heard a little tiny bit of something- a little bit of a solo that kind of really caught my attention. There isn’t really any way to force it, but I had a kind of similar experience. i flew to barcelona and it was my first time ever being on an airplane and remember while waiting to board i was watching vinesauce and saw he uploaded the AL full album video and listened to it probably like eleven times during the flight (east coast to spain is like ten hours).īasically my first experience with music that i discovered on my own was red vox and another light has kind of manipulated itself into being nostalgic of when i lived in spain so im essentially hard wired to love red vox at this point lol. ![]() i was a Vinesauce fan for a few years before AL came out and i subconciously knew about red vox but never cared to listen because i didn't care about music beforehand, but started listening just a few days after the album released. My experience with red vox wasn't a song that hooked me, but just the entirety of Another Light. you can absolutely still call youself a fan though even if you only like several songs, i do the same for other bands like Mitski and King Gizzard where only i only like some albums (and sometimes even just a few songs from those albums) and the rest doesn't hit it for me. If it's not you're thing then don't force it, it's just not for you. Author will be temporarily banned and the post removed. Currently working on new music and a follow-up EP of dumb hard-rock songs, Blood Bagel, Red Vox continues to plug our ear-holes with the sounds of their guitars and drums. For live shows, Red Vox is rounded out by Bill, a master of the keyboard and occasional bass part. The album was recorded at Red Room Studios by Joe, who helps out on bass and lead guitar. ![]() With songs that are reminiscent of rock bands from various decades, there's still a sound unique to them. Red Vox released their first album " What Could Go Wrong" the year after. Formed by Vinny from Vinesauce and Mike in 2015.
